`Create offer to BUY XMR` should be in `Sell XMR` Market and vice versa
Action button for Create offer to BUY XMR should be in the Sell XMR market and Create offer to SELL XMR should be in the Buy XMR market since it's illogical to have action button that creates offer in the other market than the one it's advertised.
The buy or sell tabs express intention to buy or sell. The buttons within each tab allow to take an existing offer or create a new offer with that intention. Seems logical to me.
@woodser, from this perspective it may indeed seem logical, at least until you actually create your offer and don't find it where your intention is...
Maybe it does make sense to show your created offer in the same tab then. That could resolve this confusion.
I also thought of this solution 👍
One complication is that if your offer is placed in the same tab it was created from, instead of the opposite tab, then it's not possible to directly compare your offer to other offers in the same market, to assess how competitive it is.
For example, if you create an offer to buy XMR, by showing it in the sell tab, you can directly compare your offer to other offers who want to buy XMR. But by placing it in the buy tab, your offer cannot be compared to the other offers in the same tab, because those are opposite markets.
That's true, and it's unfortunate because it's probably something users would commonly do. The only other solution I can think of is changing the perspective from "intention" to "markets" which is more intuitive anyway. The first tab is called Market which is also not an "intention" but a union of Sell and Buy markets. If you keep the color of the offer button/action the same as it is now, users should be able to easily recognize that they are creating a "Buy Offer" in the "Sell Market" (ideally called Sell Market or Sales) and a Sell Offer in the Buy Market (or Purchases).
