Dropped items not appearing in multiplayer servers

I was playing on a multiplayer server and I noticed that any item that drops is completely invisible, I've disabled the dropped items physics in the mod menu but nothing really changed. The mod is not running server-side, I'm using the newest version available for 1.19.4 (fabric), and there shouldn't be any conflicting mods in my library. The dropped items work perfectly in singleplayer, does the mod need to be running server-side for this feature to work?

Probably incompatible mod, can't reproduce this with only the physics mod installed.
