Front Page Readme Source Code Examples not Styled in Candidate Uploads

Just spent quite a bit of time trying to debug my README.md before working out that Candidate packages don't seem to have styles applied to code examples on the front page readme:

Is this correct?

Can it be fixed?

Compare the pair (for an existing package, not mine):

should be an easy fix to make the candidate template match the main page in applying the formatting script.
