Description
it seems that current implementation of vsphere_role resource of hashicorp/vsphere provider is lacking the ability to define the description property of a given vCenter Role
Use Case(s)
current implementation does not allow to configure mentioned content

AuthorizationManager.AddRole
in vmware/govomi
does not support the inclusion of the description (summary) to the pass to the resource
There is an upstream requirement.
