add 'time remaining' column to job run cli output
running this on v1.5.8 - so a few versions out of date
"Progress Deadline" makes me think. Thinking sucks.
Feature Request: Add a new column "Time remaining" to the cli output.
Thinking looks like this: What time is now? What time is it now on the server? Is it that 'progress deadline' server time or the client time? Who knows! Guess. Okay, got a time. Do math in head: Server Time - Time.now. Did math wrong. !@#!. Screw this. Go get coffee.
Sidequest:
The format of 'Progress Deadline' is for computers. I am not a computer.
Given the auto-updateyness of job run it's decidedly difficult to pipe that output into a script that said computer would read. As such, a human readable format would be preferable.
Hi @josh-m-sharpe and thanks for raising this feature request. I think this could be useful but any implementation would need to pay close attention to time conversions and calculations between the local host and those coming from Nomad servers. I would also be interested in ensuring the CLI width doesn't become too large.
