Kubernetes Auth Method for Vault authentication

Open justinas-b opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

At the moment boundary workers can authenticate with Vault only using token method (https://www.boundaryproject.io/docs/concepts/domain-model/credential-stores), which needs to be manually deployed. However, in cases when boundary workers are running on kubernetes, it would be really awesome if boundary would also support Vault's Kubernetes Auth Method.

This would eliminate need of manually creating the token and deploying it to boundary

@justinas-b, this is an excellent suggestion, and I can totally see the value in expanding auth method support for credential stores beyond the token method. I will keep this item open to see how many upvotes it attracts to gauge interest from the community.
