Thanks for the write-up and bringing this to our attention! It looks like this only affects a certain version of Chrome. Did you file a report on the Chromium Project?

I'll gladly investigate possible polyfills for the Chrome version(s) in question and of course gladly merge any PR targeting this but it should definitely be resolved on their end as well if it’s indeed a browser issue.

Are you seeing different behavior in another version of Chrome? I'm currently on 30.0.1599.69.

I filed a bug report with Chromium here: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=307812&thanks=307812&ts=1381893810

This definitely feels like a Chrome bug, since other browsers process this correctly. The iOS7 issue is more troubling since the events don't fire at all on orientation change (all browsers).

Thanks to @va7map was able to isolate this further. See: https://github.com/WickyNilliams/enquire.js/issues/79#issuecomment-26445942

It appears to be a Harvey-only issue because the alternative techniques work in isolation, but fail when Harvey is also included.

Unfortunately I'm not strong enough at JS to debug Harvey's code, but by observation it appears that a shared event/property might be overwritten.
