Can't switch browser pages with gesture
I tried to activate the app gesture to be able to browse the history of my browser perhaps with a gesture left and right (a bit like on windows). In keybinding I'm trying both Tab Next/Prev and Forward/Backward, and both in google chrome and firefox, but with each type of gesture, I can't browse pages. Am I doing something wrong?
I have the same issue, were you able to resolve this?

Unfortunately no..
Works for me on Ubuntu 22.10 on Microsoft Edge dev build.
Works on Chrome with 3 fingers and "Forward/Backward" option. You need to tap and hold fingers a bit before.
It works for me on Ubuntu 23.04, sort of, excpet with Chrome the default is backwards, and when I tick the box to reverse it, it works properly but the animations are wrong (I personally would be happy just diabling the animations altogether). On Firefox, the default is also backwards but the reverse direction tickbox doesn't fix it, it does nothing. Edit: Sorry, I was actually talking about forward/backward.
@tradeJmark Sorry for late reply. Could you provide following information for me?
- Are you still facing issue?
- What gesture are you doing to switch tab? (It's hold-then-swipe gesture, meaning hold for approximately 1 second and then swipe using 3/4 fingers )
- What is output of command
sudo libinput debug-events
when you're doing hold-then-swipe ?
- Run above command in terminal before doing gesture, do the gesture and thenstop command!
- What's your OS and GNOME version?

In my case, I'm still running into the problem. Like when I opened the issue, with every option for google chrome (Forward/Backward, Tab next/prev etc), nothing happens. The gesture with the 3 fingers remains that of the application change even if I touch and execute the gesture. It would be great if you could scroll through your browser history with a 2-finger gesture.
