‘Suppress column headings’ doesn't

Open krono opened this issue 10 years ago • 2 comments

The help for latex states that

Specify colheads=NULL to suppress column headings.

However, this is not the case. when colheads is NULL, headings are generated using the dimension names.

PS: what is the proper way to suppress column headings?

latex.default does not handle this very well. You can get blank column headings by specifying colheads='' but my guess is that is not what you want. I assume that "no column headings" should mean suppression of the entire row of column headings along with a possible double horizontal line. See if it makes sense to modify latex.default to do this when colheads=FALSE.

Correct

I assume that "no column headings" should mean suppression of the entire row of column headings along with a possible double horizontal line.

Or no line at all. This is especially useful if used with cgroups, since then the groups are displayed but the actual columns not (useful when giving error intervals, eg)

See if it makes sense to modify latex.default to do this when colheads=FALSE.

I am afraid I'm not too R-savvy to do that.
