agreed to the solution to have removed column instead of removing the entry itself. I'll create a PR for that.

@winterhazel also can you please change the base branch to 4.18 as I can see this issue in 4.18 as well.

Thanks @pcfriek1987 added a check for the root certificate in my PR, that should fix the issue.
