Add the ability to expose only a single folder
Exposing all volumes to an application's or ROM's services is a security vulnerability. It would be great if only a specific folder and its subfolders that I choose could be exposed.
I wouldn't say it's a security vulnerability, as the user is made aware of it and the feature is disabled by default. ~Anyway, this is a duplicate of #240. The issue is that I don't know how to integrate it into the UI. Any ideas are welcome.~
After selecting the folder you want to expose, you can add an "Expose" item to the screen that opens when you press the menu button in the upper right corner (the screen with "Cut", "Copy", and "Rename" items).
By the way, although this situation is not actually a security vulnerability, I wrote it that way due to a translation error; I am communicating with you through translation. What I mean by "security vulnerability" is actually "less secure".
It does not conflict with the topic you wrote about, because that one mentions exposing the Volume, whereas this one is about exposing the Folder.

Oh you're right, sorry, I misunderstood. So yes indeed that could be a nice addition. In your opinion, should the selected folder remain exposed when the volume is next reopened?
If there’s only one option, then yes, it should stay open. But you could add a “Keep folder open” checkbox. And in both cases you could offer “Show open folders” or “Close all open folders” options.
Another important point is that it would be nice to be able to expose not only a folder inside the volume but the volume itself (the top-level folder) as well.
