[Feature Request]: HTML document viewer
Markdown support seems to be out of scope of the DroidFS project. Advanced file formats should rather be handled by dedicated apps via the "Allow opening files with other applications" unsafe feature or through the document provider API enabled by "Expose open volumes". The goal of DroidFS is not to rebuild the entire Android ecosystem for encrypted volumes.
That said, we can consider adding a simple HTML document viewer to the app using a webview, in the manner of the PDF viewer.
I'd like to see the HTML functionality too though for security reasons the HTML document should probably be limited to accessing local files, i.e. files in the open volume, i.e. for CSS, images, etc.
I don't care about markdown.
Looks like we lost the issue title & description, but I too would like either html or markdown viewer support.
I have a bunch of documents that are just a bit more complex than text (I'd like to see the inline images and follow links), and either one of these would work for me. Right now the text-only mode is usable, but a bit cumbersome for my purpose.
I do recall trying to open html files in the past, but it could not see the other files (images) without exposing the whole volume, and even that was a bit clumsy (compared to how an integrated html viewer would be).
I would be interested in donate towards a bounty for this feature, if that is available.
Maybe we can get @hardcore-sushi to change the ticket title back to something more useful? :)
