Adapt cli parameters for compatibility with 'mount' command

This issue is prompted by the parse-mount-argv library, which should make it fairly easy to standardise much of the CLI interface.

I'm not certain this change is necessary, but think it is worth making a branch and doing this just to test out how sensible it is, and we can decide whether to merge it later.
