Add Option to Copy URL without Highlighted Text
When you click on links in Google's newish AI Overview section that appears at the top of the search results, the URL often includes the highlighted text that was used to support the AI-generated content. For example, clicking on one of the links here:
Brings me to a page with a URL like: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/storage/simplify-your-data-lifecycle-by-using-object-tags-with-amazon-s3-lifecycle/#:~:text=S3%20Lifecycle%20can%20help%20you%20optimize%20your,or%20expire%20them%20based%20on%20object%20age.
However, I often want to copy just the base URL for the page without including the highlighted text. So far, the fastest way I've found for copying the base URL is by using the ge command from the (amazing) Vimium extension which helps you edit the current URL but (strangely) doesn't include the highlighted text portion of the URL for some reason. Then type Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C to copy the base URL.
If you added an option to "copy URL without highlight", that would be a valuable addition to your extension.
Thanks so much for your time and effort in creating this extension, it has saved me time on many occasions!
That's a great suggestion, thanks!
This sounds like a great fit for Rewrite rules (on the feature roadmap).
