Feature Request: Automatic Grid Aggregates in Query Results Pane on Cell Selection
I've seen a few apps automatically calculate some summary metrics on whatever cells you highlight in the query results pane, which I think is super useful.

Thats a neat idea. I'll add it to the backlog. As more users request it or like this item, I'll push it up the priority queue. Thanks for the suggestion!
@hankinsoft, just wanted to give this a bump. I think it'd get a fair amount of usage. For now, every time I want to just get some basic stats, I'm copying the data, launching Excel, pasting the data, and then doing aggregates there. Would be really cool to just be able to select and get some summary data right in SQLPro Studio!
A few questions - just trying to make sure I understand everything.
- Could you possible post a small gif recording of this feature?
- Are the calculations always visible, or do you need to toggle something first? In my head I was thinking of adding an icon to the column header, but that would work with the whole column rather than a subset.
@hankinsoft, I saw this / got the idea from DBeaver Community Edition (free). It has "Panels" that can either be toggled to overlay the results (as in my screenshot) or toggled to be always visible (as in the recording below).
Here's a .MOV QuickTime Screen Recording - I hope that'll do fine (you'll have to change the extension from .zip to .mov; I changed it because GitHub won't take a .mov). GA.zip
