Refactor demos to make them load faster

Description

The vanilla-js demos load very slowly (30s or more). The react, angular, vue and svelte demos are faster, so it's very likely that migrating the vanilla-js demos from parcel to another bundler (e.g.vite) will speed them up significantly.
