Referer wildcard enhancement

Would it be possible to implement rules for the referrer environment variable using wild cards.

Use case: I am using this to serve images and videos for a website so users can play the video on the website and I want to lock down access to the file server accept for the website. However, it doesn't make sense to add all the URL's from where these videos might be served, since its a SPA.
