no hardware acceleration on video playback

Seems like on my system the qt mediaplayer is not using hardware acceleration which leads to ridicules resource usage unless i lower the fps to extremely low values.

Is that unique to my system?

i know that vlc which i use for video playback is working fine with hw acceleration, but vlc backend didnt work with org.kde.video so i was forced to use gstreamer (but i do have gstreamer-bad installed for VDPAU support)

I'll take a look at my system when I get a chance. I've been traveling overseas, so I haven't been able to keep up, but I will see what I can figure out as soon as possible.
