Doesn't show the password dialog when making a connection
Doesn't show the password dialog when making a connection. It returns 'pairing error' message.
Thank you for the module.
Hello, Thank you for your interest in Novarum Bluetooth Module. Could you provide us more details about the error? from the phone settings if you pair the device manually, then on the app when you try to connect, does it connect?
Hi. Sorry for the delay of my response. I was taking some vacations of my work.
Aswering to your question, if I pair the phone with the printer trough the phone settings I can do the connection successful with the Novarum module, but only while it is still paired.
In other hand, if I pair the bluetooth printer trough the phone settings again, and inmediatelly close that connection, and then go to Novarum and I try to make the connection it's fail, I cant make it because I can't key the password (Android show a notification that says the password is incorrect).
I'm using the example code included in the module, so you can be sure that the problem is not in my code.
Sorry for my english. I hope you understand. If not, tell me and I can give more details.
Thank you.
With password dialog I refer to the pop up window with an input to key the password.
Any ideas of how can I fix it?
oh i will check what i can do about it. I would appreciate if you can send me logcat console log, not sure why pair function is failing.
I found an exception in the logcat when I try to connect to the device with password. The name of the device is BTP78.
The save button doesn't work, so I take a screenshot of that part of the log. If you need more just tell me.
Remember, this only happens when the device has a password.
Thank you very much for your help.
hello, I searched the error on the internet and found some threads they mention this problem occurs on android phones with custom roms. Is that the case for you?
Actual error is the part: Permission Denial: Broadcast from android asks to run as user -1 but is calling from user 0
I was using a cheap Kolke cell phone, so maybe. I tried again with an Alcatel and in the logcat I don't see the error, but still can't connect. An alert dialog show up and it says: [JSR82] connect: Connection is not created (failed or aborted), and a notification which says the key is incorrect.
This is happening with 2 different printers, both with password. (Singular STP215B and RPP-02)
Thank you.
