Backup Codes Encoding

I wanted to point out that the backup codes seem to be wrongly fomatted. My guess they are simply python byte string. When viewing the codes they appear as b'abc1234' which is kind of confusing. However when using them as a backup you also need to specify them with the b'...' format. Probably just a matter of encoding and it works per se, just a bit weird for most users I think.
