I tested this on a Debian Stretch (current Debian stable) which ships libssl 1.1. And it works great for me! Haven't tested whether libssl 1.0 still works though.

(Regarding "Fix #9 from a user of the AUR", should the authorship of this patch be adjusted then? Or is this user and you, @eolianoe, the same person?)

I didn't write the myself but below I quoted the e-mail received from one user of the AUR:

Hi eolianoe,

the latest system update including OpenSSL 1.1.0 on Arch broke my seafile-server and ccnet-server installation... I saw you posts on the seafile git repo, so I suppose yours, too:)

As I didn't want to wait until the seafile team decides to come up with a patch I wrote one myself...

AFAICS it works - pls feel free to forward this to the seafile devs for review or inclusion in their git repo...

The patches are for the v6.0.10 tag of both, ccnet-server and seafile- server.
