books are not utf8-decoded

First, thanks for this package! I learned to touch type thanks to it. :)

I would like to get french books from the gutemberg web site - it is easy to do, I customize the book number list var and put my own, this works well.

Unfortunately every non-ascii chart is not decoded, and I see things like \303\251 in the speed-type buffer.

It would be nice to decode that in utf-8, since as far as I can see every book in gutemberg is utf-8 encoded.
