Follow up to Reset the sent message. Problem 17
I have been doing lots of testing. I am not seeing any changes in the behavior of the sent message on the RP icon.
However I am noticing that everytime, I click on send, I am getting an error, and then have to click on it a second time to get the file to be sent.
The error message is telling me that a file or folder was not available at that time.
I've also noticed this happening, then I went today to debug it and it wasn't happening anymore.
Unfortunately, the code in the extension is minified, so I can't actually tell where this error is coming from to diagnose it. I built a local copy with un-minified js but can't manage to reproduce this anymore.
Are you still seeing it? If so, I'll release a minor version with unminified js, and may ask for your help in tracking down exactly where this is happening.
Yes, I still experience it on a daily basis. I noticed it for every page I sent, but I immediately click on the extension again, and it goes right thru the second time

Okay! I just submitted 5.1.2 for review that contains unminified js. When that's out I'll notify here again.
Once updated go to "extensions > repub > details" and toggle "Collect errors" on.
Next time it errors out, you should see an "Errors" button on the repub extension that should give me more detail about what's happening.
Okat 5.1.2 is out, LMK the next time you encounter an error, and what the fill trace is
I am not seeing the ability to collect error's on 5.1.2

It's inside the chrome extension menu. First go to Settings > Extensions > Manage Extensions
Then find the rePub extension and click Details
If you scroll down, you should see a button to Collect errors
After that's toggled on, the next time you try to send it an it errors, you should be able to go back to the rePub extension and instead of clicking Details click Errors, and there should be more details there. If you can basically copy everything you see, that'd be a huge help!
This is what I have under details. [image: image.png]

Hey @hroberts65616 , it seems the image didn't get attached properly. Can you try uploading it through GitHub?
Lets see if this can be seen. This is what I see
I missed a step. At the top right, there should be a button for "developer mode" If you toggle that on, you should then see the option to "collect errors"
Wanted you to know that I have been trying my hardest to make it error, and so far it has not errored 1 time since I turned on collect errors
So for Fun, I turned off collect errors. The second page I tried to send it gave me an error. I turned it back on, and have now gone thru 15 pages, without a single error. I am going to leave it on for a while and see if the issue goes away with it on
@hroberts65616 it's been a little over a month. Are you still seeing things?
One hypothesis is that it was a subtle bug in how I was building the extension, and after updating those components this has resolved itself.
- if you haven seen this recently, then this can probably be closed, as unsatisfying as that is.
- if I don't hear from you in a week or so I'll close this myself, but feel free to reopen
- if you are still seeing it, happy to try and figure out what's going on
I noticed it a few times however I got hit with the 4.0 bug, and haven't been able to use it where I get the error every time, and the other big report states you were waiting for yours to break to be able to fix it.

Ooof, sorry, yeah, I'm still waiting until I get ported over so I can reverse engineer it
