Self extracting zip: cancelling UAC prompt of leaks content in DefaultExtractDirectory

Open zacrumford opened this issue 7 years ago • 1 comments

Repro steps:

  1. Create a self extracting zip with the following options PostExtractCommandLine=set to some executable that needs a UAC prompt RemoveUnpackedFilesAfterExecute = true, Quiet = true // may or may not be required for repro
  2. Run the executable, wait for the UAC prompt
  3. Click "No" on the UAC prompt
  4. Observe that you get a message box like the one attached. 1 4a) That message box kinda sucks because it doesn't have my app's branding (Icon and title) but whatever :)
  5. Click OK to make the extraction app close
  6. run the executable again, get the a warning about files already existing image

Thanks for reporting this bug/problem, and sorry about the delay in getting back to you. This is a self-service repository, where I merge PRs and where the merging of PRs causes nugets to be pushed automatically (if you bump the version number in your PR). I'll leave this issue open until someone (or yourself) fixes it.
