Why should this be removed?

The underlaying unofficial weback api (by the same author) has changed and therefore completely breaks this integration.

WeBack authentication mechanisms have changed and would require a complete re-write of the required API and potentially this integration on top of that.

If you look at the issues for both this integration and the API, the dev has gone a little quiet.
