Improve UX for Lepton when there is no gists

Have you envisioned any particular format for this? I ask because I'm interested in participating (yet I'm not sure I'll be able to due to tight schedule ;-: ) - and clarification may still be useful for whoever will put their hands on this.

I particularly like the way gist itself handles it, just displaying the creation page by default (ok, it does that regardless of gist count, but Lepton wouldn't need to). Maybe embedding the current New Gist component in the right panel (perhaps covering this area as to not reduce its dimensions too much) in renderEmptySnippetSection() would be UX-friendly and practical.

I'm far from an UX-expert, just willing to hear your take on this.

EDIT: "embedding the current New Gist component" wouldn't be exactly it, there'd probably be some/several changes, you know the drill :'D

Thanks for your interest! Embedding the editor in a modal dialog is a just "convenient" way when making Lepton's first draft. If you happen to have the expertise (React) and are willing to experiment on embedding the editor on the right panel, I would love to see how it works out.
