Create a Guide: Create a Miro account for your project

Overview

We need to create a guide to making a Project Miro Board so that each project has a dedicated workspace.

Action Items

• [x] Gather examples of how other projects have done, adding each example as a link in the resources section
  • [x] Once done, remove the "TG: Gather Examples" label and add the "TG: Draft Template" label
• [x] Create a draft template, either in markdown format in this issue or a google doc in the ~old product management google drive~ new product management google drive>Product Management Guides
  • [x] Once done, remove the "TG: Draft Template" label and add the "TG: Create Guide" label
• [ ] Create a guide on how to use the template
  • [ ] Once done, remove the "TG: Create Guide" label and add the "TG: Review Guide" label
• [ ] Review the guide with product management communities of practice
  • [ ] Once done, remove the "TG: Review Guide" label and add the "TG: Leadership Review" label
• [ ] Present to Hack for LA leadership team for sign off
  • [ ] Once approved, remove the "TG: Leadership Review" label and add the "TG: Place Guide" label
• [ ] Possibly create an issue template on .github
  • [ ] Include link to template under resources if you add it as a template in .github

• [ ] Create a Gmail account (example: [email protected]) for your project if it does not yet exist
  • [ ] If it already exists, connect with Bonnie to do password recovery for the Gmail account.
• [ ] Add Gmail account to 1Password vault and use project hackforla.org email (example: [email protected]) as the recovery email address
• [ ] Sign up for Miro using the Gmail account
• [ ] Add new Miro account to the 1password vault
• [ ] Create a new board
• [ ] Click "Share" button on top right of board page and set up settings as referenced in the image below
• [ ] Use "invite link" to Invite team members who are collaborating on the workflow to the board.
• [ ] Use "sharing settings" to control which team members can edit and/or comment on the workflow.
• [ ] Use "Share board link" and link this on your project management board for other team members to view the workflow.
