Addressing UX for input fields

Overview

IUT2 showed that participants are still having trouble with filling out the short input fields. Instead of writing a title, they write a full sentence. The team has a theory that this confusion may be linked to the instructions on the Advice page; more specifically, the second advice that is listed on writing in complete sentences.

The team previously shortened the short input fields to create a distinction between the short and long input fields, but confusion remains.

The team also theorized and saw that "(2-3 sentences)" after a question that was followed by a long input field may cause stress on feeling obligated to fulfill text requirements. Also may play a role in the confusion of the distinction between short and long input fields.

The grey input field text might not be enough to indicate entering only a phrase or word in the short boxes.

The 2-3 sentences is also inconsistent with the Advice page that says 3-5 sentences.

@jyehllow and I discussed this and would like to tackle this issue by removing the advice page and displaying the advice as tool tips.

Progress: Design team had to reprioritize this issue - decided on adding tooltips for specific use cases which we will be exploring Estimated Time to Completion (ETC): Unknown for now Blockers: Waiting to recruit more people for content and design
