User Terminology Survey for Target Users
Dependency
- [ ] #669
Overview
The aim of the survey is to clarify terminology based on the internal testing results. We need to get real user feedback on what they actually use, versus what websites say, so that we can align and select the best terminology for our product in Content. 1. what the letter is called (declaration letter, support letter, personal statement) 2. what is the most common term target users use when referring to the process of clearing their records (expungement, record clearance, reduction, and so on).
UXR created a second issue for dividing the surveys: Prospecting survey.

@jbsteinhardt @Ndoyle118 I didn't see the issue created yet from last week so I created it now. Feel free to adjust the labels. Can't find the bracket on this keyboard, feel free to fix that in the text body (check boxes instead of bullets) as well!
Just checking in - did we say we wanted to also ask about the terms around expungement in this survey or only the letter?
Okay got it!
I think it's still an open question what exactly we want to include. It would help me to see what the survey will actually look like. Want to work on this when you get your new laptop? We can figure out how long it would take to ask 2-4 questions.

A draft of the survey is now done save some minor details. Finalizing when there is time (lower prio due to other task deadlines)
@jbsteinhardt @SamHyler I edited the title and tasks for this issue based on our conversation on Friday. I am moving it to In-progress. First thing, let's try to re-write this one question we stuck on, maybe try to put it as scale question.
Github issue is missing for those team members looking into appropriate forums to disseminate survey, will link in doc when available.

thanks! I added it to the issue description so they are linked
All survey comments have been revised and finalized. Survey is ready to go if all parties agree.
@SamHyler looks good, moving it to ice Box until we find a place to disseminate it and work out details.
Received feedback to create two distinct research plans - see Research Plan for Information Gathering/Prospecting Survey andResearch Plan for Terminology (User) Survey. After approval has been received, will create new issue for disseminating the survey.
