Content Guidelines - grammar

Open emmathrash opened this issue 4 months ago • 3 comments

Overview

Updating the Content Guidelines. Content needs to create a section dedicated to grammar e.g. when and where to use contractions, american spelling, relevant acronyms etc.

Action Items

  • [ ] Consider, research options for existing grammar guidelines and best practices, look for other examples
  • [ ] Consider existing grammar rules (there is not one section, much of it is in the chart, which is a template from "the bird book" by Torrey P.)
  • [ ] Open discussion with content team about which one, if any, best suits the EA content guideline needs, and where it fits best within the Guidelines
  • [ ] Write a section dedicated to grammar rules for all content
  • [ ] Don't forget to add all relevant resources to the resource section
  • [ ] Reach out for feedback from the Team
  • [ ] Iterate solutions, presenting at Content meetings for feedback
  • [ ] Finalize a solution, add label ready for content lead.

Spell check issue may be relevant here when it's created? - This is further down the line/we don't have a mechanism for it currently. When we do, this section should be updated to reflect practices.
