The Design team needs a slide deck to present to new volunteers joining the Design team. The slide deck must include the following:

• Who is the team
• How we work
• When do we meet
• Life of an issue (taking an issue from the beginning to end)
• breakdown of tools we use
• How to use GitHub
• Team expectations
  • Committment
  • how to offboard
• Next steps for designer
  • Assigning to an onboarding issue

Progress: A slide deck was created on Figma, but when exported to Google slides, the quality decreased. Also noticed that it was no longer editable. Planning to create a new format on google slides so that it is editable and easier to use for folks Estimated Time to Completion (ETC): End of April Blockers: Lack of priority/ time

Progress: After some discussion, I decided to reach out to new designers to gain their input on whether an onboarding meeting was beneficial to them joining the team. The Dev team conducts onboarding async with an onboarding issue. The Design team has an onboarding issue and meeting to supplement it. I want to assess whether an onboarding meeting is beneficial and when would be the best time to conduct one if so. If the onboarding meeting is best, then I will proceed with this issue. Estimated Time to Completion (ETC): 3 weeks to complete this issue if we need a presentation. If not, then will close issue in a week after getting feedback Blockers: Feedback
