Tasks to improve communication

Overview

We need tools for better communication to prevent misunderstandings that cost time/effort and lower morale.

Background

Misunderstandings set us back.

The Content Design team is taking on the yuckiest pain points in our team's communication.

Our goal: more clarity, less frustration!

Our game plan: Attack the enemy from multiple sides.

Action Items

This issue is a master list of sub-tasks we are undertaking to improve communication.

  • [x] Create a FigJam for Content Design Team to collaborate async
  • [x] Create page tables for the pages in the Figma Kit
  • [x] Create an infographic to help define the Figma Kit
  • [x] Create a place where we can "namestorm"
  • [x] #496
  • [ ] Make sure all team members understand our Kanban board and how we work on it
  • [ ] Initiate: PM create a roadmap overarching all our initiatives to avoid any subteams having to wait for handoff

Since opening this issue, I have learned:

  • we need a clearer workflow process for the content team
  • I need to assign tasks with more detailed instructions and clearer scope
  • The tasks I assign should have a corresponding GitHub issue that is assigned to the one person working on it

Figma Kit is now Figma Compass. The content team is reworking its information architecture and conceptual map.
