Point of clarification: it is critically important to mention that the choice of using the "10 most Democratic states" for this analysis is not because we prefer those states or that we support Democrats over Republicans. This choice was made because it seems from experience that Democratic-leaning states have more features, and are thus a better point of comparison for feature-competition against BallotNav, than Republican states. It is and has always been our intent to develop software to be used by all jurisdictions, without any regard for political tendencies.
