Create Spreadsheet of VRMS Database Fields for People Depot

Overview

People Depot is building a new backend for VRMS. In order to do so, People Depot requires a list of all database fields and corresponding screens that this information is required on.

Action Items

• [ ] Coordinate with Developers to create export of database fields
• [ ] Research and document the process for reviewing database fields in VRMS and identifying the screens they are associated with.
• [ ] Review the VRMS Backend and current screens across vrms.io. Update this Google Sheet to include each database field and list all screens that retrieve data from those fields.
• [ ] Create a legend in the spreadsheet with screenshots of each referenced screen, along with corresponding titles for each screen.
• [ ] Notify PM and Lead Dev (@JackHaeg & @trillium) when complete to review and take on the next steps:
  • [ ] Review with stakeholder Bonnie
  • [ ] Send People Depot PM Sarah Monks, PhD the completed spreadsheet to review with the People Depot Team

Spoke with Bonnie on June 26, 2025:

• First step is to create export of database fields - work with Dev on this. Need actual database field names, unlike the ones that were previously listed on the Google Drive link. (see MongoDB)
• Would be helpful for VRMS, but not a requirement to provide a list of who should be able to view each field
• Although People Depot has moved ahead, Bonnie reported it would still be worthwhile to create this
