Guest/Host Application - Skip questions

Open abbyhipp opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Overview

We need to update the navigation buttons for the Host/Guest application screens to allow for users to exit and return to the application seamlessly to encourage completion.

User Story

As a user who has skipped questions, I want to be able to return to any specific question and answer it so that I can complete my application.

Why this update is necessary

When users skip questions they must be able to return. The current state does not define how people can interact with the individual questions after they have skipped them during the initial pass through the application. The ideal "to be" state allows the user to return to unanswered questions by going to the last unanswered question via the dashboard and going through the normal flow from that question forward OR return to the dashboard (at their choosing). A less ideal state, drops them back into the flow at their unanswered question and they then have to continue through all the questions finding the ones that they didn't answer.

Action Items

  • [x] Product
    • [x] review feasibility of work below with Development
  • [ ] UI/UX
    • [ ] Create a mockup of one of the screens with the text Dashboard and a icon that represents dashboard button (current thinking is door with arrow), that will live on the bottom right on all pages for all users.
  • [ ] Development
    • [ ] When user clicks dashboard button, if content on page has changed warn them their changes have not been saved. If possible allow them to click save or discard changes, if not just warn them and ask if they wish to leave page. If yes, then don't save changes, if no return to page

Notes Buttons will remain as :

  • "Back"
  • "Skip for now"
  • "Save and continue"
