UXR: Collect and Organize previous UXR documents in shared drive

Open ryanfchase opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Overview

We need to go through our shared drive and determine what existing research material we have so we can prepare to organize it for our revised Wiki UXR section

Action Items

  • [ ] Review Bonnie mtg notes and come up with an outline for how to organize the drive
  • [ ] Visit shared drive (see "UX Research Folder" in Resources)
    • [ ] optional: create table of contents
  • [ ] Review notes, determine how to document our findings

Resources/Instructions

  • Epic: https://github.com/hackforla/311-data/issues/1796
  • Shared Drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0AK9EyXeY81U5Uk9PVA

Meeting Notes 2024-10-20 @ 3:30pm PT

Notes on 311 Data (OUR) documentation

  • Research Plans from our Roadmap
    • RP 1: Alpha Testing
      • happened before Brian + Rong joined.
      • Alpha testing V 1.2 January folder doesn't have documentation on what exactly happened
      • But its possible for us to go through the documents and recreate some document
      • Important: we'll need to decide on this so that our Research Roadmap is .
        • TODO: Rc to ask Bonnie
    • RP 2: Competitive Analysis (and onwards)
      • research roadmap material is up to date
      • documentation is good, we can reach standard
    • RP 3 - 7 ... (see above paren)
  • 311 Data Research Documentation

Questions:

  • Q for RC: What is the minimum needed for our Wiki Page? What can be considered the larger, "more thorough" pages
  • Q for Bonnie: what do we do with research plans where we did not contribute to (e.g. from 2022 and earlier)?
    • completely leave it out (this is what Bonnie is suggesting)
      • leaves some information on the table
    • provide some link (e.g. Google Docs)?
  • Q for Bonnie:
    • how can we see Research Plans + Roadmaps (Google Docs) from other teams, we'd like to know how "close" our roadmap / plans need to look
    • note from RC: we could only find 1 google doc that was accessible. other teams, we'd need access to their shared drives

Attendees

  • [x] Rong
  • [x] Brian
  • [x] Cotton
  • [x] Ryan

I'm just going to leave myself assigned here. I'm going to organize this and present any outstanding questions to Bonnie at the upcoming PM meeting: https://github.com/hackforla/311-data/issues/1546#issuecomment-2427756632

RL notes: I agree with the recommended structure in the document and we are already building towards that. Unfortunately, since our doc titles had PII in them, so does your review. Could you create a new doc that obscures the specific file names?

@jberzowska I've added an action item based on your comment above. Please move to in-progress, assign yourself, and provide an ETA for completion. Thanks for picking this up!
