It would be nice to have gsocket added to the OpenBSD ports tree

using Issue #8 as a model where applicable, it is desirable to add gsocket to the OpenBSD ports tree, I will be adding to this issue as I research how to go about this...

That would be awesome. Did you any progress on this? It's available on FreeBSD portage - perhaps that's a start.
