Heater is set to heat even if auto mode is available

I'm trying to use your repo for controlling a trv. The problem is that the trv has an auto mode and heat mode separately and the heat mode works so that it opens the valve completely regardless of what the set temperature is and the auto sets the valve position based on the set temperature. Right now your repo is setting the thermostat to heat mode and trying to control the temperature but can't do it so the room will heat up until I turn the thermostat off. Even if I try to set the thermostat back to auto mode the repo will set it back to heat immediately.

Do you think there's a way to solve this or should I look into some other solution for my use case?

I will gladly provide more info and/or debug logs if you want.
