Feature request: Add ability to block third party js only

Open charsi opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

It will be great if there way a way to allow js hosted only on the site itself. This would preserve functionality on most web apps while still blocking 'analytics' stuff.

EDIT: Ha so the assumption above doesn't hold true fore github. I could create this issue with all js disabled. But in order to edit I had to enable js on githubassets.com

Thanks for the solid extension. I've been using it a few months.

This is the setting "Temporarily set top-level sites to TRUSTED"

We want it without the "temporary" part.

But temporary does the same thing. Every time you visit the site it'll be a temporary trust so you'll never need to save it as a permanent thing.

The setting name made me think I'd need to set it again and again on each browser restart. If it was referring to something else, i.e. "temporarily trusted" vs "trusted", I agree it is ok, even if a bit confusing. Also apologies for commenting without even trying it out sufficiently to understand it. I read another issue here that recommended just using ublock origin instead of noscript for this usecase, so that's what I ended up doing.
