Perspectives of this package

Hi, we made some preliminary checks of this package, and for for some 2D complex symmetric eigenvalue problems (mode confinement for light waves), it seems to do a pretty good job.

While doing this, I stumbled upon the problem described in #6 and searched for the functionality which would be provided by #11 .

It would be a pity if this package would be abandoned. How are it's perspectives ? What would be needed to support it ?
