mark offline devices as unavailable

Open h4de5 opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

my AC unit is beeping from time to time. so far it seems this happens when it cannot reach the remote (toshiba) server. in this case i cannot control it with original toshiba app as well.

for such cases or if the device has been taken off the grid, the integration should show it as unavailable. which it does not at the moment.

see request: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/toshiba-home-ac-control/137698/93

I've tested with my AC going offline (I've changedd SSID of my wifi) but I cannot find anything - neither AMQP notifies about this, nor api/AC/GetCurrentACState is returning something that will indicate that device is offline.

mmh. I wonder how the app does this. cause there I do see a difference between "off" and "offline" I will try some more things - thanks for checking.

I can also see this, but I don't see any data we can base this on :disappointed:
