How to rename the output filename?

Open secretlifeof opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

Just a short question. Is there a way to change the name of the output filename? I have been searching but maybe not good enough.

I get the output filenames: crop.jpg, resize.jpg.

It is related to #78

The thing with this is what to use for a file name. When it's with URL's, it's not uncommon to have sources such as: ?file=https://some.s3.bucket/0ff/123/ceeb3r.

For the cases where you do use a file-name in the URL or where you pick a file from disk, this would be more appropriate /mnt/lun019/images/0ff/123/logo.jpg could be reduced to logo.jpg.

A solution would be to add the filename as a separate parameter to the URL, but that requires knowledge of the filename to the client. So for some use cases, this voids the need to have this on the backend at all.

I'm interested to learn more about the use case to figure out the best approach to implement this.
