blocking ipv4 access only in Brave browser, breaks many pages

I edited the main blocklist here to exclude IPV6 since I have disabled IPV6 system-wide. I had no issues with this when added via the uBO extension. However, I was testing this on brave browser and when added as a custom list in their shields menu, it looks to break many pages, (Reddit for example showed 62 blocks with this on compared to 14 without, YouTube blocks 22 compared to 6 and doesn't load at all). I understand that Brave blocks differently than the uBO extension. What could be the reason for this?

There is no difference with or without LAN list.

Don't have Brave in Linux, I tried in Windows VM, still cannot reproduce.
