Had the same problem, glanced over other reports and replies: Try moving your mod manager to the same hdd or ssd as GW2 is installed onto, I moved mine right next to Guild Wars 2 directory and the issue went away.

This did not work with my issue, what worked was to create a addon directory in it and just mark the Addon and hit install. So basically i've got no problem ATM but i could come back.

The solution that worked for me was to manually create the addons directory in the guild wars 2 installation folder.

I had the same issue and ran the mod manager as admin and it worked. (For reference too I had the Mod manager on my D drive and installed the addons to my C drive.)

kmalkin's solution worked for me, creating the addons folder manually allowed it to work without a hitch.

@fmmmlee could you take care of this issue within the next release since the solution is quite simple. I would love to take care of it, but unfortunately I have no clue about C#.

I've just returned to the game and did a fresh install with the 64bit client.

I found that by creating BOTH the 'addons' AND the 'bin' folders allowed this to work.
