New Logo Suggestion/Proposal
The current one kind of bothers me because it makes this Free Kiosk solution seem generic and a bit dated.
I've made a few variations in Inkscape because I have a different idea of what it can look like:

Looking to put this through a vote first, because I'm not the head developer for this software. You may have your reasons, and I ain't against it.
The ZIP contains the SVG and PNG files. All intended under the CC-BY SA 4.0 licence.
Hey @SecularSteve First thanks for sending in the suggestions, they look really cool! And you are right to point out the logo could do with a better touch up to look more modern on screens. I will gladly incorporate something using the clean design you are suggesting here.
However, I am not allowed to use the RaspberryPi logo. And was kindly asked by the Rpi foundation to change it. You can also see that its listed here: https://www.raspberrypi.com/trademark-rules/
The chromium logo is borderline trademark, it might be considered as one in some places as noted here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Chromium_Logo.svg Since though I was not approached by anyone from the chromium team or google I am ok with incorporating it for now as long as its not too "in your face". Also some people use FullPageOS with the Firefox browser too so I don't see it as a critical part of the messaging.
I have been trying to use the raspberry pie logo for "unofficialpi" in most of my work, since I got explicit reply from the rpi foundation that its ok to use it. Though its not too sleek you are welcome to improve on it and make something that looks cleaner. You can use the whole pie or just a berry, or anything else: I use it here: https://github.com/guysoft/CustomPiOS/blob/devel/media/CustomPiOS.svg
And there is just the berry here: https://github.com/guysoft/pi-imager/blob/qml/src/icons/cat_unofficialpi.svg Taken from here: https://github.com/guysoft/pi-imager
New draft:
Decided to be a bit more original, and implicit with it. I wanted to convey the feeling that it's hinting at being Pi Kiosk Software, while at the same time not crossing any legal boundaries. It's not based on any other app that I know of (the logo that is). ZIP contains SVG and PNG:
@SecularSteve, this is so cool, thank! I created a new Raspberry logo so we don't have to deal with copyright issues. Please let me know what you think and if we're all happy with the new logo, then I'll integrate it into the repo
I created a another version where the FullPageOS raspberry is a sillouhette instead of having a fill.
@guysoft @SecularSteve Please let me know which one you like better
Cheers, Tailor

I like it,. The raspberry is symmetrical which make it look better. The color is nice, and its not the potentially-trademarked raspberrypi (I was asked to change colors in pi-imager). And the chromium logo is also different enough to not spark trademark issues.
I think it will look nice on the boot splash screen.

Great variation of it. Great safe variation of the logo even.
But I think something like this suits it better probably (if you'll allow me to throw in some suggestions). Using both colours gives it a kind of feel of unitarity. Like the Browser is dependent on the OS, and the other way around. Plus your middle circle was grey.

@SecularSteve I find the dual color split and the location of the logo in the circle unbalanced. I think the red background version I offered earlier, with the mask, makes more sense as a large logo. We could just use the new raspberry in smaller versions of the logo, for icons and such. Maybe we could have a gradient to make it a little richer or something?! I don't know, just thinking out loud.
Please accept or suggest another version
Kind regards, Tailor

OK Guy. Let's keep ut like this for now then.
Is there anything you would like me to do in terms of integration beyond replacing it in the presentation welcome screen?
Cheers, Tailor

@guysoft I pushed an upadte into a new branch on the repo, but couldn't create a pull request due to a 500 error on Github, so please merge manually, or I can try to create a pull request later and see if Github can handle it
Here is the new branch for the updated logo: https://github.com/guysoft/FullPageOS/tree/secularstevelogo
I will update the welcome presentation repo separately
Kind regards, Tailor
Updated.
