Scaling this up

Open gilzellner opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Hi! amazing project. What if I want to go bigger? meaning, my neighbours are making too much noise, and I want to give them some taste of their own medicine without waking everyone else in the block. How do I make this scale up ?

You have two choices:

  1. Increase the voltage to the transducers.
Currently, the output driver (4427) is being driven at 18 volts, since the transducers are differentially driven, this is equivalent to 18*2 = 36 volts. The transducers are able to handle over 100v according to their data sheet. If you redesigned the circuit to drive the transducers closer to their maximum rated output, you could potentially increase their power in this manner.

  2. Add more Ultrasonic Transducers The easier method would be to add more transducers and keep the drive circuit the same.
