Help with cracking blockchain wallet password
Hello.
I have extracted my wallet data from my block chain wallet. Any one who can help me try to crack the password.
what kind of help are you looking for? if you go through the docs they are quite extensive.
I need help to recover a password for a blockchain wallet opened in 2014. I have so far been able to extract the wallet data but all my attempts through btc recover have not yielded results
@dusmanz I also had old blockhcain wallet, but i successfully recovered it. is it first or second password? and do you remember any of the password??

I believe it is a first password. Yes I have some ideas
Export your saved passwords in your browser/mobile-device use it as a password list and add typos option. it will work nice 80 percent of the time. the other 20% you need to do forensic analytics of what happened at the time of creating the wallet. a timeline is great for this, check the things i stared on my github it might help. also https://github.com/3rdIteration/btcrecover branch has more up to date versions of btcrecover you should try using the extract script, or even just feed the wallet data directly to btcrecover.py.

gurnec did a wonderful job at this, 3rditeration fork just has good fixes and features.
ps: remember to run this on a airgapped matchine, setup the device and have it working on test wallet files first and then remove any hardware that would connect to the internet. there are second hand laptops on ebay or somewhere if you don't happen to have one laying around. can use extract script and process on cloud if anything.

just use btcrecover (python 2.7 with pycrypto python lib installed) with your custom password token list file to try crack it, or if you are sending it out to company or friends, first use btcrecover extract script to get partial wallet hash to send it out without someone crack and take all your $$.
You can't take the crypto if you don't do the email authorization, that's the first one, and secondly, you need to know the person's login first, the json file is not a seed phrase so that you can take the crypto away from someone, it's just a gate to enter, for example, how to blockchian.com, so I wouldn't scare my colleague that everyone will steal from him, the fact of security in the first place, but if he does what you wrote, no one will open it.

And as for your proposal to open, the idea is cool, but it has to have a lot of computers, and preferably access to some cryptocurrency farm to use the power, because otherwise on an ordinary computer, even a super good one, it will take decades, I have already written it under another post, the time to use the combination is huge and without powerful equipment it is not a profitable job, then maybe he has only a few similar passwords and knows that some combination of them will be good. But if he doesn't know similar passwords, then searching on home equipment is unrealistic and only creates artificial hope, math doesn't lie, all combinations of colloquial passwords along with numbers and slow speed btcrecovery on one computer using GPU and CPU in parallel, there is still not enough life to open weic, at the beginning I suggest renting a pair of GPUs virtually and try your hand, and if it doesn't help, look for miners to rent or, preferably, a farm Excavators.

i created my ac in 2014 my json file has version :3 with pbkdf2_iterations :5000 is this still possible with BTC recover? bcoz i created one dummy ac and it is easily cracked by BTC recover therefore i am little bit confused about it??
i had create my account on blockchain platform on 2014, and now i forget my password. i also have password list with help of it i tried to crack my password and get access to that account however i am not able to find my password throught btc recover.
my json file has version :3 with pbkdf2_iterations :5000
please help me how i can recover my account back...
