To get my dogecoin and vertcoin?
I see that you must define a --wallet-type (standard is bitcoin) but when i type doge or dogecoin or anything after this option it doesn't work? What is needed to be typed for doge also for vertcoin? Can someone give me a sample syntax for doge and or vert? Currently I have: "python btcrecover.py --token-list list.txt --wallet wallet.dat" which runs but I dont think is set to the correct coin types so I dont think it will ever work.
I don't know about doge but I'm using btcrecover for my VTC wallet right now, I done the test with new wallet and it work, you can make new wallet and set some sort password and test yourself for doge, see if it work.
@Chococat what option did you have to type for the --wallet-type to get Vert to work?
@Chococat the android VTC wallet?
@ooodan you don't need to add --wallet-type type option for VTC, I think u don't need for doge too. (just make new wallet with short password and test - remember to backup your old wallet.dat).
@BTCBOY no, I using btcrecover for desktop wallet, I have no idea about androind one.
@Chococat ok I tested a blank wallet with the password abc123 and it worked! But I see that its only testing each line in the token list file once per guess, I'm confused what option to use to tell it to try each line up to x amount of times? like what option would i add maybe one of the "--maxtypos"? And also like you I'm now looking for a good token-list to start with so if you found one please let me know <3
@ooodan I wish I can help but I'm Vietnamese, my English is limited, I was asking for help to built token fie as well but none result so far, you should contact @gurnec and hope he have time to help you, best of luck @ooodan.
Thank you, @gurnec are you able to tell me what option is used to say each token can be used up to x number of times?
