What is the status of HashCheck development? Is there a fork of this that is being actively developed?
Hi.
What is the status of HashCheck development? Obviously, there are issues and feature requests being submitted and annoying bugs like #15, but there doesn't appear to have been any development activity for well over a year, if not 2 years. No disrespect intended, but I am curious. I wish I had the programming chops to jump in and help.
Perhaps life has taken some turns and gurnec simply doesn't have the time to spend on this project. Does anyone know if there is a fork of this that is being actively developed?

This is the fork that's actively developed...except, at two years since the last commit, it seems that development is, unfortunately, no longer active.
Here is a fork with a more recent commit https://github.com/seiya-dev/HashCheck
If people want I can reupload the alpha that was posted from my thread a while back.

It looks like this is only a fork of the original HashCheck, not including the gurnec improvements, isn't it?

Yes, please!
https://github.com/seiya-dev/HashCheck/releases/tag/v2.4.1.58-alpha reuploaded alpha
@Masxx Could you re-upload the alpha that was posted to your thread. I'll compare it to the copy @seiya-git posted. Thanks, @Masxx .
This alpha from seiya-git is flagged a trojan by multiple scan engines, including Windows Defender: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/7dc9159f5cb01ad0484566ee1e5cbcdc4b598bf659568e67f9ce0b624ef01b48/detection
That being said, this happened to HashCheck setup occasionally: https://github.com/gurnec/HashCheck/issues/31
@Korkman, that's strange, because build was made from "separate-files" branch it's seems only 32bit version affected, 64bit is fine

rebuild: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/seiya-git/hashcheck/builds/25063808

Are these two alpha builds drastically different? I'm using Seiya's since the DL is accessibly, and Appveyor has removed the one from Masxx and Christopher's discussion (#13).
Happening with the x64 branch now, @seiya-git - thought you'd want to know.
Only 4 / 56 at virus total, but it was flagged by Defender today for me.
It seems to be something in the NSIS installer scheme, as it only triggered after extracting and running the actual install. Since it was already installed on my computer, and only the file from \Windows was missing, it was able to get through that part of the install before Defender cut it off.
Dear @seiya-git, thanks for taking over, some changelog would be nice to see too. For example, is it possible to process files with hundreds of symbols in path?

Sorry took so long been busy and forgot about this for a bit. Here's the original files provided by gurnec from my previous post https://github.com/gurnec/HashCheck/issues/13

Here's a VirusTotal of the setup file: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/aee3783596aa37d628f080f9e9b9b84e1ec397aa54bd63af7b0a364c98e26eb8/detection
curious if this is going to be updated with some of the more modern hash options?
(and an option to show hashes in uppercase!)

Thanks for posting this. Very useful piece of software. I thought it was gone for good. I've sent an email to the developer, but I'm already expecting to have no return or response.
Let's see if a dev with a good heart can keep this up. I'd do if I could, but I'm a bummer when talking about coding. Sorry for this.
would be great if we could get the whole "windows uninstalls on version updates" thing fixed finally/first and foremost : P
