I've been using this for a while and found it improved readability and hinted at them being whitespace

Hi @michihuber. This repository is no longer active, but I (co-)maintain a fork at clojure-vim/clojure.vim which is now the one included in Vim. If you'd like to open a PR there instead, I'd be happy to take a look.
